What is KDF filtration?
Kinetic Degradation Fluxion (KDF) is a chemical-free solution for cleaner, safer water. KDF is a high-purity combination of copper and zinc alloy, which works as a chlorine shower filter, converting chlorine into a water-soluble and environmentally-friendly chloride ion. As water passes through the KDF shower filter material, copper and zinc create a reaction that turns chlorine into chloride. Chloride is safe for skin, hair, and eyes, and doesn’t irritate existing skin conditions. This process also reduces bacteria, algae, and fungi, and helps to prevent hard water mineral deposits, including limescale. Water is pushed through the filter of the KDF showerhead or shower filter, and contaminants are neutralized naturally, leading to higher-quality water straight from your showerhead.
