Hot Cold Mixing Valve Upgrade Kit for CleanSpa is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Useful good looking unit! This mixing valve has been wonderful - it solves the cold water problem of using a spray cleaner. The provided hose (78") was very adequate and it is a nice touch to include 2 popular sizes of the T junction. I really like the nice H C marks also on the brilliant chrome finish - but as it is down there below the toilet tank one has to get used to it and not look for it every time. What would have made this even more cool would be a back flow preventer so that the toilet supply cold water does not go back to the hot water line and make the sink hot water lukewarm or cold. If one forgets to close this Hot/Cold valve (easy to do as the hand held spray also has a on/off lever) then the cold water goes to the sink. I am looking now for a simple back flow valve to put in. On the whole a very good product.

What happens if guests come over and leave the valve on or if someone forgets to shut the valve and leaves it on?

Asked by: brandy
Hi Brandy, Over time the water pressure can build up in the hose and sprayer and cause a leak, probably not a big deal if it gets left open for awhile every so often but it really is best to remember to close it every time.

For the HOt/Cold upgrade for bidet sprayers. How does the hot water get to the sprayer? Would I have to run the hot water at the sink for a few min. before it becomes hot?

Asked by: amyC
Hi Amy, Yes the warm water comes from your sink line and how long that takes to heat up would determine how long it would take for warm water to get to the bidet.

Do you offer this item with sprayer and sprayer hose as complete package?hose

Asked by: Morteza
Thanks for your question. Usually when customers purchase the Hot/Cold Mixing Valve kit they purchase a complete Hand Held bidet kit (CleanSpa, CleanSpa Luxury, PureSpa, etc) to go with it. However, if you like you can just purchase a replacement sprayer and a replacement hose. No, we do not sell the complete kit because we have so many mix and match options available to customers.

Does your bidet spray has to be close to the sink to get the warm water. My toilet is in a room by itself.

Asked by: Mzrosie
Thanks for your question. This mixing valve kit comes with a 6-foot braided metal hose to bring the hot water from the sink's water supply to the mixing valve. It might be necessary to have a plumber add a hot water line near the toilet, or use an electric model that heats the cold water for you, eliminating the need for hot water access.

Can this hot- cold water mixing kit be attached to the water connection under the sink of the bathroom vanity? I am getting my bathroom rennovated, so there is opportunity to take the hot water connection from under the sink, behind the vanity.

Asked by: Sabina
Thank you for your question. Yes that is where the Mixing Valve is designed to connect to your hot water supply, to the water supply under the sink of the vanity. The hot water hose is 78" in length.

Does the toilet tank get the hot water too? Wouldn't that increase my hot water bill? Does that mean I have to keep changing temperature level each time to switch between water for toilet tank & bidet?

Asked by: Junaidi
Thanks for your question! Our CleanSpa t-valve and Hot/Cold Mixing Valve are designed to be turned off after each use. It's important not to buildup water pressure in the hose and sprayer, so turning off the valve is mandatory. When the valve is turned off, hot water is not able to flow up into the tank, but cold water is able to flow into the tank each time you flush. Cold water only flows into the tank when the water line is below the tank's maximum fill level, just like on a standard toilet installation. If you turn off the valve as directed after each use, you do not have to worry about wasting hot water by letting it flow into the tank.
