Earth Day: making an impact—together.

Brondell is founded on a commitment to care—for our customers, our products, our team, and our planet. Our environmental impact lies at the heart of what we do. This Earth Day, and every day, our mission to drive forward planet-friendly change is top of mind. We are committed not only to eco-conscious business practices, but also to making an impact directly in our communities. Let’s look back at some of Brondell’s volunteer activities in support of the planet.

How we’ve shown up for our community.

McLaren Native Plant Garden.

We‘re passionate about creating lasting change and building strong relationships with nonprofits in our community, and our ongoing partnership with the California Native Plant Society is one of our favorites. Not only do we get some sunshine and the opportunity to make an impact on an important San Francisco park, but we also get to go back to help out year after year and see the fruits of our labor.

In 2022 and 2023, we partnered with the California Native Plant Society and Visitacion Valley Greenway (GOAL). At these two events, we helped plant native greenery and flowers, remove debris and waste, and maintain the grounds at the McLaren Park Native Plant Garden. Seeing the impact of multiple years of work and getting to volunteer with friendly faces was a reward in and of itself.

Beach Cleanup.

As a San Francisco-based brand, we are passionate about the world’s oceans and shorelines. These habitats are vital to local and global ecosystems, and they must be preserved for the animals and people who enjoy them.

In 2022, we were proud to partner with San Francisco’s chapter of the Surfrider Foundation to help clean up and maintain Venice State Beach in Half Moon Bay, California. Brondell volunteers came together to help remove 127 pounds of trash and 14 pounds of recyclable plastic waste from the shoreline, preventing this debris from causing damage to the local ecosystem and wildlife.

Plant-A-Tree campaign.

Outside of our volunteer work in our local communities, we have been working to make an environmental impact on a grand scale, allowing our customers across North America to get involved.

Each April, in partnership with our friends at ForestNation, we host our Plant-A-Tree program. For each purchase made during the month of April, ForestNation plants a tree in Tanzania, Africa to help restore natural habitats and ecosystems. To double down on this effort, we also send a seed packet from ForestNation with each purchase so our customers can plant a tree in their local community, as well. To date, we’re proud to say that we have planted over 4,900 trees through this program. We look forward to the continued growth of the Brondell Forest.
