2025 Brondell Impact Report

We’re proud of the impact we make on the environment, our communities, and our customers. This report is a deep dive into who Brondell is as an organization, as well as the work that we’ve done to make a difference for our planet—and everyone who calls it home.

Steve Scheer, President of Brondell Headshot

Making an impact that feels better already.

A letter from Brondell’s President.

For over two decades, Brondell has been committed to manufacturing products that provide customers with peace of mind in their spaces.

We launched our business in 2003 with bidet toilet seats, bringing a higher level of hygiene into the bathroom, reducing the need for toilet paper, and driving sustainability in a space we all take for granted. Since then, we’ve brought planet-friendly solutions to the entire indoor ecosystem with advanced water filtration systems, air purifiers, high-performance, water-saving showerheads, and kitchen faucets engineered to exceed expectations. The result: cleaner, safer spaces—and a better way to wash.

In 2022, we realized that—while this work was impactful—we could do more for the environment by joining forces with 1% for the Planet.

Through our product membership with 1% for the Planet, we donate 1% of sales on select products to environmental nonprofits working to make a difference around the world. Additionally, our team members have donated hundreds of volunteer hours to 1% for the Planet nonprofit partners to make an even greater impact in our local communities.

Helping the planet means improving the lives of the people who live here, too. We’re proud of our contributions to those in need of support, whether it’s donating bidets to veterans with lowered mobility, providing air purifiers to seniors impacted by wildfires, or packing food for community members dealing with food insecurity.

And that’s not all. Brondell’s foundation is built with care in mind: for our planet, our community, our customers, and our team. Every small act of care adds up leading to large and meaningful impacts in our community and beyond.

Giving today for a better tomorrow.

Why we joined 1% for the Planet.

We believe that cleaner air, water, and sanitation should be available to everyone. It’s what fuels us to create products that provide healthier, more sustainable experiences.

But real change means solving the problems that lie at the source—the health of the planet and the protection of natural resources. To help fix those issues, we’ve aligned the growth of our business with the needs of the planet.

Our product partnership with 1% for the Planet ensures that we’re doing our part to help future generations thrive. One percent of every sale from our partnership bidet attachment collection supports carefully selected nonprofits giving back to the Earth and our communities.

"Brondell’s product-line commitment is a shining example of what happens when consistency and dedication meet. Since joining in 2022, Brondell has not only given to environmental partners that champion forests, oceans, and marginalized communities around the world, but their staff also personally shows up every year to volunteer and rebuild their local community garden. We are so proud to have Brondell in our network.”

Revitalizing coastal habitats.

March 22nd is World Water Day, and we celebrate all month long in the best way we know how—by giving back. This year, we partnered with Seatrees on our Kelp the Planet campaign. In March, qualifying purchases made on Brondell.com funded the planting of 1 square foot of crayweed kelp off the coast of Sydney, Australia. Revitalizing these kelp forests provides a home for marine life, a renewable resource for humanity, and helps to reduce atmospheric CO2.

"We were honored to partner with Brondell on the Kelp-the-Planet campaign this past March. The Brondell team embodies a true commitment to creating positive impacts for both people and the planet, and together we were able to restore 2,000 square feet of kelp forest in Sydney, Australia - helping to protect marine biodiversity, strengthen coastal resilience, and enhance the ocean’s role as a powerful climate solution.”

Growing a better future.

Every spring, in partnership with ForestNation, we host our Plant-A-Tree program. For each qualifying purchase made on Brondell.com during the month of April, ForestNation plants a tree in Tanzania, East Africa to help restore natural habitats and ecosystems. To double down on this effort, we also send a seed packet from ForestNation with each qualifying purchase so our customers can plant a tree in their local communities, as well.

" Brondell’s commitment to the planet inspires us every day. What started as a corporate partnership has grown into something deeply human—a shared mission to heal the Earth and uplift communities. Together we’ve planted more than 8,900 trees in Tanzania—creating meaningful work, restoring land, and reminding us all that impact grows when people and purpose align. We’re proud to keep growing the Brondell Forest and the hope it represents for our planet’s future.”

Nourishing our community.

September is Hunger Action Month, so we took action through our partnerships with Feeding America and Alameda County Community Food Bank. During the month of September, $1 from most purchases on Brondell.com went to these nonprofits to help fight food insecurity in the San Francisco Bay Area. These funds helped provide and distribute food to our community members, as well as contributed to programs that work to reduce food waste.

"At a time when our community is facing unprecedented challenges, partnering with companies like Brondell is more important than ever. We are beyond grateful to Brondell for joining us and meeting the moment. I’ve had the pleasure of working with various groups of Brondell employees that come into our warehouse to help us sort food that goes directly out to community members. I can truly say each person comes in with the energy, hope, and ‘can do’ attitude that keeps our mission alive.”

Raising awareness.

In October, we supported Breast Cancer Prevention Partners (BBCP) as part of our ongoing partnership with 1% for the Planet. BBCP works to prevent breast cancer by eliminating toxic chemicals and exposures linked to the disease. We contributed to this mission through an awareness campaign and by giving away a free pink travel bidet with every purchase of a bidet toilet seat.

"At BCPP, we know it takes strong partnerships to drive meaningful change. With support from Brondell, we can advance the science linking toxic chemicals to breast cancer, shape policy and market practices that protect health, and expand public education so communities have the tools to act. Together, we’re helping to stop breast cancer before it starts.”

Planting the seeds of change.

Volunteering with California Native Plant Society.

We love to partner with nonprofits in our community, and the Yerba Buena chapter of the California Native Plant Society (CNPS) is one of our favorites. CNPS is focused on education and volunteer activations that help promote native biodiversity in our local gardens and parks. Each year, in honor of Earth Day, we partner with CNPS and the Visitacion Valley Greenway (GOAL) to help maintain the grounds at the McLaren Park Native Plant Garden, planting native greenery and flowers, removing debris and waste, and more. Seeing the impact of multiple years of work and getting to volunteer with friendly faces makes our hearts grow fonder and stronger.

"For the past several years, we’ve volunteered to assist with the development of the McLaren Park native plant garden, a hidden gem here in San Francisco. The best part is returning each year to see the impact of our hard work. The garden continues to grow and it’s a sight to behold! Knowing that we’re contributing to the beautification and revitalization of the ecosystem where we live and work is a bonus worth every moment.”

Saving water—together.

Over 1 billion gallons and counting.

In 2024, we hit an impressive milestone, and it’s all because of our customers. Using our Nebia showerheads, they have saved a combined 1 billion gallons of water. How do we know? We crunched the numbers and based them on sales and flow rate averages of our patented water-saving technology. We’re so excited to have accomplished this monumental sustainability achievement and look forward to the next billion gallons we’ll save with you.
